1. Scope
This policy applies to LapianBao Clean for macOS (the “App”), provided by Newtybei. The App is a local-first tool for organizing media, analyzing video, processing audio, and identifying music.
2. Local files and results
The App reads media only after you choose a folder or file. Videos, audio, images, transcripts, scene cuts, thumbnails, tags, project indexes, and exports are primarily processed on your Mac and stored in the library or export location you select, or in the App’s sandboxed cache. The App does not upload your original media to Newtybei by default.
3. Network features
When you start music identification, the App uses Apple ShazamKit to create a one-way audio signature locally and submits that signature to Apple for matching. The App does not upload the original video or audio to Newtybei for this purpose. To obtain song titles, artists, genres, or artwork, the App may send a song title, artist name, or search term you enter to Apple’s iTunes Search or related Apple services, and may load artwork from URLs returned by those services. Network services normally receive an IP address and basic request information.
4. What we do not do
The App does not require an account, contain advertising, track you across apps or websites, integrate Newtybei analytics or telemetry, or sell user data.
5. System permissions
The App uses the macOS App Sandbox. File read and write access is used only for libraries and export locations you authorize through the system picker. Network client access is used only for the music services described above and for support pages you choose to open.
6. Retention and deletion
Local project data and analysis results remain until you delete the relevant files in Finder or in the App. Temporary files and caches are removed by the App or macOS as needed. You can remove local data by deleting project files, clearing app caches, or uninstalling the App.
7. Third-party services
ShazamKit, iTunes Search, Apple Music links, and related content are provided by Apple and are governed by Apple’s own terms and privacy policy. After you open an external link, further browsing is handled by your default browser and the destination website.
8. Changes and contact
We may update this policy as features or legal requirements change, and will revise the effective date accordingly. For privacy questions, contact us through the Newtybei support website linked below.
